Open Source Business Models
Recently I had a very interesting discussion with a senior executive in the US on Open Source business models. Yes time permitting I am planning to publish what we have discussed and what our views on them. I must apologise that it is almost about 3 weeks since we had the discussion and I didn’t get the chance to publish the discussion.

I am dealing with the challenge of creating the business case for the CEO for enterprise open source application (accounting system) — emphasis is mainly on costs, with less on functionality.
That means I need some hard numbers that can be presented as ROI or TCO facts in a report that is jargon-free. I found it extremely difficult to find any examples or reseach of cost justification analysis for open source ERP applications. Any thoughts or reference points?
