Janaka Wickramasinghe – Co-founder/CEO Janaka co-founded Fossmart (Pvt) Limited in 2006. Janaka is an early starter, he had his 1st computer lesson while sitting on his father's lap when he was only 3-4 years old. He could remember all the keywords on ZX spectrum when he was only 4 years old. Since he could learn most of the computer languages and operating systems by himself he studied Bio Technology at the Bangalore University where he obtained a 1st class. After this returned to Sri Lanka he worked for Openworld and the Sahana (www.sahana.lk) project in key Open Source roles. His passion for Open Source and computers led him to create Fossmart together with Chinthaka in 2006. His core skills are Open Source development, GFS, Clustering and MySQL/PostgreSQL. He is also a trusted member of some of the leading commercial open source companies such as Red Hat, EnterpriseDB, MySQL and Apache foundation.
Thaya Ponniah – Director Thaya is one of the directors at Fossmart Pty Ltd and the Regional Head for Asia Pacific including Australia. He is also the General Manager / Director of Austral Dynamics (Australia) a partner of Microsoft Business Solutions. Thaya has been running businesses for more than 12 years with multinational presence especially in the software development and outsourcing arena. He holds Masters in Business and Technology from University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney, Australia and has been to several conferences and seminars conducted by Microsoft, IBM, Sun Microsystems, State Department of USA and United Nations. In addition to business, he has extensive experience in e-government related developments including Public-Private-Partnerships (PPP), working closely with World Bank, GTZ (a German funding agency) Asian Development Bank and WSIS (World Summit on the Information Society).
